A wall mount bolts to a gable end, a chimney-adjacent wall or a strong fascia and holds the dish away from the roof surface. It is a great choice when the roof is steep, fragile or already crowded with solar panels. Installation is straightforward, but you need a wall that faces open sky and enough structural strength to hold the bracket and dish through storms. A flush mount — often called a low-profile or pivot mount — sits directly on the roof with the dish close to the deck. It is the most aerodynamic option and the least visible from the street, which matters in neighbourhoods with appearance rules.
