Pair it with panels sized to replenish the battery faster than the dish drains it — as a rule of thumb, 200W to 400W of solar keeps a Standard dish running indefinitely in good sun. For permanent off-grid sites, a dedicated charge controller, lithium battery bank and fixed panels give you the best long-term value, and the Mini is the most solar-friendly dish thanks to its low draw.

Whole-Home Backup Integration

If you already have a home battery or a standby generator, Starlink slots in easily.
